UVM Terrill Hall LEED Renovation
Air Handler Installation
Laboratory Exhaust Fans
Liebert Engineering provided design and post design services for a complete infrastructure upgrade to a biological laboratory facility on the UVM campus. The structure was suffering from “sick building syndrome” due to significant ventilation deficiencies. The 1950’s historical register brick structure required significant abatement efforts, followed by the addition of multiple application specific air handlers and laboratory exhaust.
The project is LEED registered with a goal of silver certification. Liebert Engineering provided lead consultant services to a multi-disciplinary team that took the project from concept to completion in less than a year. The project included a complete HVAC upgrade for eleven labs, multiple classrooms and office spaces, complete heat/energy recovery coverage, significant plumbing & electrical upgrades, and the implementation of a complete stand alone building automation controls system.
