In order for the University of Vermont CRF building’s Trane Trace Modeling to convey an accurate picture of the facility baseline and serve as a reliable predictive model, much research was required with the assistance of Trane to build the model incorporating the multiple heating and cooling modes for the two (2) water loops and the ventilation system. Once the model was built and tested against knowns, it was then “test driven” with different scenarios for basic operation and energy conservation. The analysis’s provided us with the appropriate level of confidence we needed to report results and make recommendations.
